Chiropractic

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines chiropractic as the health profession “that deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on health in general.”

People of all ages can benefit from chiropractic care. My spinal adjustments are differentiated in its approach and according to the needs of each patient.

The WHO specifies that “chiropractic attaches particular importance to manual techniques, such as manipulation or joint adjustment” of the spine. The Spanish Chiropractic Association (AEQ) explains that “like any health profession, chiropractic has developed its own body of knowledge, focused on the study of the spine, its disorders, their effect on the nervous system, and its approach.”

Founded in 1896, the chiropractic profession enjoys satisfaction levels among its patients that range from 80% to 95%, according to surveys and studies carried out over several decades. The profession has a more relaxed history abroad, but its effectiveness has been universally proven. Chiropractic patients have been shown to suffer fewer hospitalizations, fewer surgeries, less drug use, and lower costs in maintaining their overall health. Quite simply, frequent chiropractic care helps you regain and maintain health.

In my center, I visit patients who are at different stages in their life: the newborn who seeks to prosper, the growing teen, the grandfather with limited mobility, the worker who aspires to face tasks at full capacity or the housewife who wants to recover faster from any situation. All people seeking improvement with problems such as muscle contractures, dizziness, headaches, cervical or lumbar pain, sciatica or low back pain, among various examples related to the spine and as well as those who explore living with a better quality of life and fewer ailments.

We desire a fulfilling, successful family and work life. Our body is our main work tool; we all need a strong body and a healthy spine to carry out our tasks and responsibilities. Discover your possibilities with chiropractic.

FAQ

Over time, a decompensated spine ends up being both a cause and an effect of several common health challenges in our lives. A healthy spine shouldn’t give you a problem. It is necessary to analyze your particular situation in order to be able to determine your possibilities. In most cases, through spinal adjustments, living better is possible.

We review your medical history, your current health, and how it affects your daily life. If you have images of your spine, I will analyze and contrast them, in preparation to receive your first spinal adjustment that same day. On the second visit, I will give you a report detailing the vertebrae to be corrected, the guideline of visits to follow and changes in habits to achieve improvements.

It will depend on the state of your spine, how long you have been with the damage, your postures performed in your professional life, your lifestyle, etc. My intention is to restore your health as soon as possible. This requires an initial plan of frequent visits in a short space of time to speed up the recovery process. I will also prepare a follow-up plan for you to maintain your improved health and continue to strengthen your health. I work for your well-being in each visit.

The first visit takes 45 minutes to collect and organize all the observations I need with the goal of being able to adjust your spine for the first time that same day. Subsequent visits focus on spinal adjustment according to your Adjustment Plan, and take between 15-20 minutes.

The first visit costs 65€ and includes the examination and the first adjustment of the spine. Then, with the Adjustment Plan developed, each subsequent visit has a value of 37€. If you wish, you can buy a pack of 10 visits (Bono 10) for 295€, this which saves of 20% on the regular rate.  The Bono 10 applies to the second visit and subsequent visits. People under 22 have reduced prices, please contact me if this is your case.

The latest review of the Spanish Chiropractic Association (AEQ) of November 2019 found that “most countries around Spain, both in the EU and outside it, also recognize that chiropractic is a health profession. We have close examples such as France, Portugal or Italy, but also Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom and all the Nordic countries, most of them incorporated into the services offered by public health.” This dossier shows some of the high-caliber scientific studies published in the scientific literature and clinical journals worldwide.

The research and studies published in scientific journals on chiropractic come from several countries worldwide, including Spain. In Europe, the European Chiropractor’s Union (ECU) aims to promote and expand the profession in Europe. The ECU is owned by 23 European countries and represents around 5,000 chiropractors.

Chiropractic education is standardized globally in accredited universities, always using the parameters defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) and detailed in its report “WHO Guidelines on Basic Training and Safety in Chiropractic”, presented in Geneva in 2005. Barcelona College of Chiropractic and all European universities accredited by the European Council on Chiropractic Education exceed these parameters of academic training, clinical training and on Evidence-Based Practice.

The knowledge of the chiropractor, their ethics and the dexterity of their hands make all the difference when you choose your chiropractor. For these reasons, make sure that your chiropractor is a member of the Spanish Chiropractic Association.

Yes, of course! The spine is important to our health, regardless of age. The spine guards the spinal cord, as it is delicate and at the same time robust. Adjusting it requires knowledge, skill and experience. Each stage in life requires your particular attention. I am here to serve you, your family, and your close friends.
